“Bhikkhū, when these four kinds of mindfulness meditation are developed and cultivated they lead to going from the near shore to the far shore.
“Cattārome, bhikkhave, satipaṭṭhānā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṁ gamanāya saṁvattanti.
What four?
Katame cattāro?
It’s when a bhikkhu meditates by observing an aspect of the body—keen, aware, and mindful, rid of desire and aversion for the world.
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kāye kāyānupassī viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṁ;

dhammesu dhammānupassī viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṁ.

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro satipaṭṭhānā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṁ gamanāya saṁvattantī”ti.
