At Sāvatthī.
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
“Bhikkhū, you should give up desire and greed for what is anicca.
“Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo.
And what is anicca?
Kiñca, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ?
Form is anicca; you should give up desire and greed for it.
Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo.

Perception …
saññā …
Saṅkhāra …
saṅkhārā …
Consciousness is anicca; you should give up desire and greed for it.
viññāṇaṁ aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo.
You should give up desire and greed for what is anicca.”
Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo”ti.
