At Sāvatthī.

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

“Bhikkhū, you should give up greed for what is anicca.

“Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo.

And what is anicca?

Kiñca, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ?

Form is anicca; you should give up greed for it.

Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo.

Feeling …

Vedanā aniccā …

Perception …

saññā …

Saṅkhāra …

saṅkhārā …

Consciousness is anicca; you should give up greed for it.

viññāṇaṁ aniccaṁ; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo.

You should give up greed for what is anicca.”

Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo rāgo pahātabbo”ti.
