Sāvatthiyaṁ viharati.
“Bhikkhū, sentient beings come together and converge because of an element:
“Dhātusova, bhikkhave, sattā saṁsandanti samenti.

Assaddhā assaddhehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
shameless …
ahirikā ahirikehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
imprudent …
anottappino anottappīhi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
lacking samādhi …
asamāhitā asamāhitehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
witless …
duppaññā duppaññehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti.
The faithful with the faithful …
Saddhā saddhehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
conscientious …
hirimanā hirimanehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
prudent …
ottappino ottappīhi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
possessing samādhi …
samāhitā samāhitehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samenti;
and the wise with the wise.”
paññavanto paññavantehi saddhiṁ saṁsandanti samentī”ti.
