“I will teach you the blameworthy principle and the blameless principle. …

“Sāvajjañca vo, bhikkhave, dhammaṁ desessāmi anavajjañca.

And what is the blameworthy principle?

katamo ca, bhikkhave, sāvajjo dhammo?

Wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong samādhi, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom.

Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti—

This is called the blameworthy principle.

ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, sāvajjo dhammo.

And what is the blameless principle?

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, anavajjo dhammo?

Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right samādhi, right knowledge, and right freedom.

Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti—

This is called the blameless principle.”
