AN 7.11 Underlying Tendencies (1st) – Paṭhamaanusayasutta

Bhikkhū, there are these seven underlying tendencies.

“Sattime, bhikkhave, anusayā.

What seven?

Katame satta?

1.3

The underlying tendencies of sensual desire, repulsion, views, doubt, conceit, desire to be reborn, and ignorance.

Kāmarāgānusayo, paṭighānusayo, diṭṭhānusayo, vicikicchānusayo, mānānusayo, bhavarāgānusayo, avijjānusayo.

These are the seven underlying tendencies.”

Ime kho, bhikkhave, satta anusayā”ti.
