“Bhikkhū, there are these five powers.

“Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, balāni.

What five?

Katamāni pañca?

1.3

Faith, conscience, prudence, energy, and wisdom.

Saddhābalaṁ, hiribalaṁ, ottappabalaṁ, vīriyabalaṁ, paññābalaṁ—

These are the five powers.”

imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañca balānī”ti.
