AN 4.249 Very Helpful – Bahukārasutta

“Bhikkhū, these four things are very helpful to a human being.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, dhammā manussabhūtassa bahukārā honti.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

Associating with good people, listening to the true teaching, proper attention, and practicing in line with the teaching.

Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammasavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaṭipatti—

These four things are very helpful to a human being.”

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā manussabhūtassa bahukārā hontī”ti.
