AN 4.247 Worthy of a Monument – Thūpārahasutta

Bhikkhū, these four are worthy of a monument.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, thūpārahā.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

1.3

A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha; a Buddha awakened for themselves; a disciple of a Realized One; and a wheel-turning monarch.

Tathāgato arahaṁ sammāsambuddho thūpāraho, paccekabuddho thūpāraho, tathāgatasāvako thūpāraho, rājā cakkavattī thūpāraho—

These four are worthy of a monument.”

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro thūpārahā”ti.
