AN 4.242 Benefits of a Good Person – Sappurisānisaṁsasutta

Bhikkhū, you can expect four benefits from relying on a good person.

“Sappurisaṁ, bhikkhave, nissāya cattāro ānisaṁsā pāṭikaṅkhā.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

1.3

Growth in noble ethics, samādhi, wisdom, and freedom.

Ariyena sīlena vaḍḍhati, ariyena samādhinā vaḍḍhati, ariyāya paññāya vaḍḍhati, ariyāya vimuttiyā vaḍḍhati—

You can expect these four benefits from relying on a good person.”

sappurisaṁ, bhikkhave, nissāya ime cattāro ānisaṁsā pāṭikaṅkhā”ti.

Kammavaggo catuttho.

Saṅkhitta vitthāra soṇakāyana,
