AN 4.146 Times (1st) – Paṭhamakālasutta

“Bhikkhū, there are these four times.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, kālā.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

1.3

A time for listening to the teaching, a time for discussing the teaching, a time for serenity, and a time for discernment.

Kālena dhammassavanaṁ, kālena dhammasākacchā, kālena sammasanā, kālena vipassanā—

These are the four times.”

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro kālā”ti.
