AN 4.120 Perils (2nd) – Dutiyabhayasutta

Bhikkhū, there are these four perils.

“Cattārimāni, bhikkhave, bhayāni.

What four?

Katamāni cattāri?

1.3

The perils of fire, water, kings, and bandits.

Aggibhayaṁ, udakabhayaṁ, rājabhayaṁ, corabhayaṁ—

1.4

These are the four perils.”

Imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri bhayānī”ti.

Dasamaṁ.

Kesivaggo dutiyo.

Tassuddānaṁ

2.1

Kesi javo patodo ca,

2.2

Nāgo ṭhānena pañcamaṁ;

Appamādo ca ārakkho,

Saṁvejanīyañca dve bhayāti.
