AN 4.86 Sunk Low – Oṇatoṇatasutta

“These four people are found in the world.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ.

What four?

Katame cattāro?

One sunk low who sinks lower,

Oṇatoṇato,

1.4

one sunk low who rises high,

oṇatuṇṇato,

1.5

one risen high who sinks low, and

uṇṇatoṇato,

1.6

one risen high who rises higher.

uṇṇatuṇṇato.

1.7

… These are the four people found in the world.”

… Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmin”ti.
